Meet Our Team

Dr. Miganoush Ghookasian, or “Dr. G,” grew up in Los Angeles, California. She received her Bachelor of Science in molecular cell biology from the University of California, Berkeley (UCB). She then moved to one of her favorite cities, New York City, to complete her master’s in clinical research. She was accepted to New York University (NYU) for her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She graduated from NYU, one of the largest dental schools in the nation, in 2011, with academic honors and in the top fifth percentile of her class. She was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), an organization that represents the highest achievements in dental scholarship, professionalism and ethics. She subsequently obtained a coveted spot at the General Practice Residency program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where she specialized in hospital dentistry, medically compromised patients and patients with special needs.

Dr. G has been published in the Journal of Dental Education and has received numerous professional accolades, including the Near Future Summit award for her work with patients with special needs and the Boeings’ Women in Math and Science award. She has been in private practice since 2012. Her scope of practice encompasses almost all areas of dentistry. She particularly enjoys cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics and is our in-house Invisalign® treatment expert! Her gentle chairside manner and clinical diligence make her the perfect dentist for those patients who fear going to the dentist. Her research background affords her the ability to continually stay current with new technologies in dentistry as they relate to making her patients’ experience at the dentist more comfortable. Her professional memberships include the American Dental Association®, the California Dental Association and the San Fernando Valley Dental Society; she is also Invisalign certified.

Dr. G is married and has two kids. She loves to spend time with her family and read. She also enjoys yoga, hiking and pretty much anything outdoors.

Dr. Janet Ajdaharian or as patients called her, Dr. A, is a Los Angeles native. Her love for the arts and being a lifelong painter brought her to dentistry. She pursued her undergraduate degree at UC Irvine where she double majored in Biological Sciences and Studio Art, graduating in 2013. She then researched oral medicine at the Beckman Laser institute as a Junior Research specialist until going to Roseman University, College of Dental Medicine in Utah for Dental School and graduated in 2021. During her time in dental school, she was involved in many organizations, most notably serving as President and District Commissioner of ADEA (American Dental Education Association). She was involved in dental community service and helping enhance oral health education within the Salt Lake City County. In 2022, she completed her Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Columbia University in New York City serving immunocompromised and special needs patients.

She aims to create a comfortable environment for her patients of all ages where going to the dentist is something they look forward to! Her favorite part about dentistry is being able to create a piece of art that people can take home and radiate through the their smile.

Dr. A is married and in her spare time she enjoys traveling and exploring all outdoor activities especially hiking, snowboarding and skiing. She loves and still spends her time immersing herself in all mediums of art including painting and sculpting.

Dr. Narbeh Gharakhanian holds a bachelors’ degree from UCLA in microbiology/molecular genetics, a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from USC and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Texas Southwestern College of Medicine. He was accepted to and completed one of the nation’s top oral and maxillofacial residency programs at Parkland Memorial Hospital. Dr. Gharakhanian has been practicing oral surgery since 2011. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and he serves as an adjunct assistant professor in clinical dentistry in the oral surgery department at the USC School of Dentistry. His professional associations include the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the California Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

He is married and has two daughters. His favorite things to do in his leisure time are fishing and taking his kids hiking. In addition, his passion for football, soccer and boxing makes him an all-around sports fan!

Emily has a degree in health administration and over 13 years of experience in this field. She enjoys working in health care and helping patients understand their insurance plans. Facilitating treatment and dental care for our patients is where Emily excels. Please don’t hesitate to ask her how she can help!

Arman is a dental assistant certified in radiation safety. He is a team player and a super fast learner. He has a passion for healthcare and plans to keep pursuing his education.

Ricky brings over 13 year of dental assisting experience. He has worked in many specialties such as orthodontic, pediatric and cosmetic dentistry.
